You are a citizen if you swear allegiance to the US and is entitles to its protection and laws.
Before 1860 citizen was not important until immigration became a huge thing
The 14th amendment defines
"All persons born or naturalized in the US and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the US"
90% of Americans are citizens by birth.
Naturalization, a legal process by which a person can become a citizen, congress makes the regulations and approves the test.
Collective naturalization, an entire group is granted citizenship, usually by a treaty or an act
You can decide to no longer be an American Citizenship. and is called Expatriation.
Government can not take away your citizenship.
Marriage does not make you a citizen, it just shortens the naturalization process.
Immigration act of 1965 Did away with the quota system allowing 270,000 immigrants.
Congress has exclusive power to regulate the crossing of this nations borders:inward and outward
Immigration act of 1990, allow 675,000 immigrants into the country, allow people with family members but also with special talents such as: doctors, scientists, etc.
Criminals and anyone that can cause harm will not be permitted.
Deportation- rather illegal or convicted of a serious crime.

-Ex. Of how
this might happen today?- This is a march and the sign at the front translates to "No Human is being illegal" which pertains to illegal immigration and how Hispanics are frequently illegal immigrants from Mexico.
- In America, we have a very high illegal immigration number. Many consider it a problem, and obviously these Hispanic people feel as if they are being discriminated against.
- All of their faces are very similar. They seem upset over this illegal immigration problem and they demand a voice, which is illustrated in their We Shall be Heard poster
- This could very well be happening today. We have an immigration problem and it needs some kind of reform to fix this problem.

Seeing that our system is not broken, I don't believe it needs to be fixed. The president should still be in charge of appointing them and congress should still be in charge of approving them. The American people should only be "in charge" of what they are currently in charge of.

Supreme Court Cases
Religion- Elk Grove Unified School District
v. Newdow (2004) - The U.S. Supreme Court heard this case which was
based on religion in schools. The problem was the words "Under God"
in the Pledge of Allegiance. On June 14,
2004, the Supreme Court held Michael Newdow, as a noncustodial parent,
did not have standing to bring
the suit on his daughter's behalf. The mother was previously given sole custody
of the daughter. The Ninth Circuit's decision was thus reversed as a matter of
procedural law, so it did not consider the constitutional question raised by
the case.Minority- Ricci v.
DeStefano (2009) - The United States Supreme Court heard a case
regarding racial discrimination in New Haven, Connecticut. Eighteen city
firefighters, seventeen who were white and one who was Hispanic,
brought suit under Title VII of
the Civil Rights Act of 1964 after
they had passed the test for promotions to management and the city had
nevertheless declined to promote them. New Haven officials invalidated the test
results because none of the black firefighters
who passed the exam had scored high enough to be considered for the positions.
They stated that they feared a lawsuit over the test's adverse impact on a
protected minority School System-Roper
v. Simmons (2005) -
The U.S. Supreme Court held in this case that it is cruel and unusual punishment to execute
persons for crimes they committed before age 18. Matthew
Simmons was sentenced to death for the murder of a woman when he was 17 years
of age.

It's very scary that it would just disappear, and it is absolutely an issue that should concern America, because American citizens could potentially be on these flights and They should be concerned about their citizens' well being.

A

Bill is considered one of the

to get done what was needed done. He is an excellent speaker and an excellent
